Family, Friends & New Car Welcome Soldier Home

A local soldier is back on the Homefront Saturday after serving a year overseas.

"It's just great to be home. It's been a long time coming," said Specialist Luke Barnes, United States Army.

Family and friends gathered at Tulsa International Airport Saturday afternoon to welcome home Army Specialist Luke Barnes.

Also waiting his arrival was his newly purchased Mustang Cobra. Barnes said he found the car on the Internet and just had to have it. So, a friend bought the car and had it waiting outside the airport.

Barnes is only home for 18 days, but he says he plans to rest, relax and, of course, drive his new car.
