Some much needed money is going to help many uninsured Oklahomans get the healthcare they need. The Southeast Tulsa Rotary Foundation and Club donated $5,800 on Friday to help Bedlam Clinics.
The money comes from the foundation's spring FitFest event, a time-tested fitness program to promote health and physical fitness to elementary students.
"The kids were very excited to be out there on the football field, going through the motions and playing on the tires. And, doing the things that they need to be doing to exercise and stay healthy and learning about doing that while they were there," said Janelle White with OU-Tulsa Community Health.
The money will go into the Bedlam Clinic's general fund and pay healthcare costs for many children and adults who need care, but can't afford it.
