JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Tropical Storm Fay is sliding right on up the east coast of Florida, but it hasn't drifted out to sea and is in fact losing strength. Chances that it'll become a hurricane are diminishing.
The storm is centered near Cape Canaveral, and its sustained winds have fallen to near 45 miles-per-hour.
It may not move over water until later this afternoon.
There are no new reports of damage today. The Melbourne area has seen some minor street flooding. That's close to where the storm started its slide up the Atlantic coast.
