TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Former conference rivals Tulsa and Boise State plan to re-ignite their rivalry with a pair of games that will be played in 2009 and 2011.
The Golden Hurricane of Conference USA will host the first game of the series next season at the renovated Chapman Stadium on October 3rd, 2009, and will travel to Boise on September 24th, 2011.
The series pits BCS buster Boise State against a rising program in TU. Boise State beat Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
The Broncos won all four of the games against Tulsa when the teams were Western Athletic Conference rivals from 2001 to 2004. The closest came in 2004, when 18th-ranked Boise State won 45-42 in Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane will also play at OU in 2009.
