TULSA, Okla. -- Back to school supplies used to be the simple paper, pens, and pencils. These days, though, it's a little more high- tech and high-dollar.
Back to school shopping means something different for each grade level. We went shopping to learn what the average high school or college student requires to study in style this semester.
Bryan Lowery, with Best Buy, says graphic calculators top the list. They come in every shape, size, color, and functionality.
Another hit is an audio recorder by Sony that doubles as an MP3 player. It can record up to a month's worth of lectures. Priced at $104, it's flying off the shelves.
The webcam is another popular item this year, especially for students leaving home for campus!
"Parents are wanting to send their child to the university and they want to save on phone bill, minutes, or long distance costs and there's free software applications that will allow you to do a two way communication pretty securely," explained Best Buy's Bryan Lowery.
Laptops are not only a must have for the college-bound student, but many high school students have this item on their list.
