With the temperatures near triple digits, some kids found a way to stay really cool. The head coach for the Tulsa Rampage Hockey Club is helping the kids become better players.
A camp this week focuses on the basics of hockey. While the kids are having a blast, it's a lot of hard work, too. They spend four hours a day on the ice where they practice passing the puck, shooting and speed skating.
"But, more or less, we just want these kids to enjoy this game. It's a special game. As long as they can have fun and wanna return the next day, we've done our job," said Rampage Coach Chad MacLeod.
While the hockey camp was not free, the Tulsa Youth Hockey Association is planning another camp that is.
