Truck And Driver Go For A Swim

A pickup truck and its driver took a dive into an Oklahoma City swimming pool Monday morning. 

The accident happened at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.  Witness told Oklahoma City Police they saw the driver hit the gas and speed through an iron gate, landing both in the pool at the Riviera Apartments near NW 50 and Hales Drive.

Apartment resident Jamie Hilbert said he jumped in to help free the driver.

"The first thing I did is just run down there, can't swim, but ran down there and jumped in," Hilbert said.

Someone else handed him a hammer and Hilbert busted the window and pulled the driver out. 

The driver was then placed in the back of a Oklahoma City Police car and taken away to the Oklahoma County jail.
