Time is running out for people affected by the May flooding and tornadoes to apply for Federal disaster assistance.
People in Craig, Latimer, Ottawa, and Pittsburgh counties have until 6 p.m. Monday to apply.
The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management says so far, about 450 people have applied for assistance. They say you shouldn't pre-judge your eligibility, because you may qualify for something you're not aware of.
Michelann Ooten with the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management visited with Six in the Morning. She says applicants need to be prepared to give some basic information.
"You'll need social security number, you need the address of the location of the damage, the kind of damage, they're gonna ask what kind of insurance you have," Michelann Ooten said.
To apply for assistance, call 1- 800-462-7585. That number is not available over the weekend, but you can still go online at fema.gov and apply.
