Seized Race Horses Need New Homes

More than two dozen race horses seized during a raid at an illegal track need a new home.

Police took 29 horses, along with trailers and equipment from the Red River Playground, south of Thackerville in July 2007.

The horses will be auctioned off in Oklahoma City on July 19th. Racing officials say many of the horses are quality-bred race horses.
