Elementary Students Celebrate Independence Day

Some pint-sized patriots were on parade as they got a jump-start on the 4th of July holiday.

The 9th Annual Independence Day Parade at Council Oaks Elementary kicked off in a blaze of red, white and blue.

Teachers say the event gets bigger every year. The kids make their own t-shirts, signs and noisemakers.

Honored guests included parents, local soldiers and Broken Arrow Firefighters.
