Oklahomans are being encouraged to protect themselves from mosquitoes and the risk of contracting the West Nile virus.
A Logan County boy has become the second confirmed case of the West Nile disease this year.
The first case of West Nile was in Pittsburg County. Last year, there were 107 confirmed cases in the state resulting in eight deaths. Oklahoma is entering its busiest season for the virus which is spread by mosquitoes.
Most of the state's West Nile cases are reported between July and October.
