A jury has convicted state Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan and his wife on felony counts of conspiracy and accepting bribes.
This decision came after juror deliberations resumed on Saturday morning.
The panel was given the case about 3 p.m. on Friday after nearly four hours of closing arguments from prosecutors and defense attorneys.
After prosecutors finished their arguments on Friday, U.S. District Judge James H. Payne dismissed one of the nine counts against the couple.
Eight felony counts, including conspiracy, mail fraud and accepting bribes, stem from the McMahans' association with southeast Oklahoma businessman Steve Phipps.
Jurors acquitted the two of mail fraud.
