Governor Henry is asking for another part of the state to be declared a disaster area.

The panhandle didn't suffer storm damage.  In fact, they'd welcome a thunderstorm.  It might be the first rain some places have seen in month.  The drought in the panhandle is killing crops and destroying grasslands where ranchers graze their cattle.

The governor wants federal loans and tax relief for panhandle residents.  So far, it's the third-driest year on record in the Panhandle.
