Finding a missing child is getting some high-tech help in Oklahoma.
Outdoor advertising association officials say digital billboards in Oklahoma City are part of a test in which those billboards will display Amber Alerts. The system will notify motorists of a missing child along with information to help locate him or her.
"We're going to use our digital technology to help aide with law enforcement and safety adminstrations regarding getting the message out with Amber Alerts," Bill Condon, the general manager and vice president for Lamar Outdoor Advertising.
Similar tests of the system are planned for digital billboards in the Tulsa area by the end of the year.
Lamar Outdoor Advertising has 800 digital billboards nationwide.
