Cement Truck Involved In Accident

An accident involving a cement truck and a road construction truck narrowed traffic on southbound U.S. Highway 169 near 31^st Street on Monday afternoon.

A fire department spokesman says the cement truck hit a C.P.I. truck that was filling potholes on Highway 169. 

SKYNEWS 6 shows that the cement truck flipped over, trapping the driver inside.  At last report, the driver was alert and talking with emergency crews on the scene.

EMSA took the driver of the C.P.I. truck to the hospital with back injuries.  He was expected to be okay.  Three other C.P.I. crew members working on the highway at the time were not injured.
