A woman is recovering on Saturday morning after being hit by an SUV. The accident happened just after midnight in the 6200 block of South Sheridan.
Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say it appears the woman was eastbound, walking across Sheridan when she reportedly walked in front of oncoming traffic.
An SUV in the northbound lanes accidentally hit her because the driver says the woman stepped in front of his vehicle. EMSA transported the woman to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The driver who hit the woman stayed at the scene and spoke with police. Officers say there does not appear to be anything suspicious about the driver.
The accident is under investigation.
