With summer almost here, many kids are already thinking about heading to the pool. But, before you grab the beach towel and sunscreen, it's important to know how to protect your kids from injuries.
Safe Kids of Tulsa launched their "Think Water Safety" campaign on Friday. The group gave parents tips to help prevent problems. They say parents should be especially mindful of water safety this year since many area lakes and rivers are above normal.
Experts say if you're in the water, wear a life jacket.
It only takes four minutes underwater for children to develop brain damage. Safe Kids of Tulsa says the most important precaution is giving your child your undivided attention.
