Officers Remind You To Buckle Up

If you are planning to drive, you'd better buckle-up.  Area law enforcement agencies are getting ready for this year's Click It or Ticket Campaign.  They got started with a checkpoint at one of the area's busiest intersections, 101st and Mingo.

"You know we advertise and everything else.  We just want people to get the point. We wish everybody would just wear 'em.  We wish we'd be out here all day and not write a ticket, but we know that's not the way it's gonna work out," said Bixby Police Officer Erik Smoot.

In less than four hours on Thursday, officers wrote 80 tickets for seatbelt violations.
