Accident Shuts Down Highway

Interstate Highway 244 in downtown Tulsa has been reopened to traffic following an accident overnight.  

Tulsa Police say around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, the driver of a semi was going too fast on the wet road.   The truck hit a guardrail and bridge abutment, puncturing the fuel tank. Tulsa Fire's Hazmat team was called out to help soak up about 100 gallons of diesel fuel.

The truck's driver was not hurt.
