Two women, who were robbed at gunpoint in March in the same apartment complex, are hoping someone can help police find the men who did it. News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports both robberies happened at the Sand Dollar Apartments at 61st and Riverside on March 26th, around 11:30 at night.
One woman saw the man run up behind her, she tried to hurry inside and shut the door, but he forced his way inside.
"He goes inside, points the gun at her, robs her, takes her purse and leaves the apartment. Two security guards see him and he turns and points the gun at them," said TPD Officer Leland Ashley.
Since the guards were unarmed, they backed off.
Moments later, a second woman told the guards she'd been robbed also and the robber beat her with the handgun. The description was the same in both cases.
"What really makes this stand out is two female victims robbed in same time period, he points the gun at security. He obviously didn't care. We're lucky no one was injured," said Officer Ashley.
Police say the next time the robber strikes, the victims may not be so lucky.
