A local business is turning your trash into treasure. It's called ReStore and it takes in used building materials, sells them and then gives the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat then builds new homes for people in need.
ReStore takes in all kinds of items. The company says it saves 2 million pounds of material from the landfill every year.
"It's a major community involvement project that's wonderful for the environment and wonderful for what we do as Tulsans," said ReStore manager Caleb Allen.
ReStore is located at 1234 South Norwood in Tulsa. Store hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. You can reach ReStore on the phone at 918-592-7904. All donations are tax deductible.
