Tulsa's Little Light House is about to get a little bigger. The Tulsa school, near 36th and Yale, serves young children with special needs. But with more than a 100 children on what's now a two-year waiting list, school officials felt they had no choice but to expand.
"We want to be able to get to the children as soon as we possibly can. And, when they're having to lose those first few years, that's a tough situation," said executive director Marcia Mitchell.
The school's in the old Saint Anthony's Presbyterian Church.
Demolition work will begin on an existing structure this week. The new building will allow the school to double its enrollment and serve as a teaching environment for hundreds of volunteers.
