Firefighters with The Tulsa Fire Department fought flames on Saturday morning at a home in the 3600 block of East 70th Street South. Crews say when they arrived to the scene just after 6:30 a.m., flames were shooting from the attic.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out and contain it to the attic. The homeowner was home at the time and made it out safely.
The home sustained heavy fire and water damage. Officials say the blaze was an electric fire.
