Folks in Broken Arrow turned a new leaf on Saturday and they got a discount for doing it. A New Leaf which is a non-profit dedicated to helping the disabled hosted Gardenfest. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. those with a green thumb got to save 10% on all gardening purchases.
The executive director of A New Leaf tells The News On 6 they also teach disabled people how to tenderly care for plants, which is therapeutic.
Kim Falcon says A New Leaf provides jobs and independence, as well as great, healthy plants for everyone.
