Thursday was a big day for some budding Tulsa elementary school artists. Judges began checking out their art work for the "Don't Bug Me" Contest. More than 100 students from 27 different schools created posters to re-enforce the campaign's message: Don't Let the Flu Bug You!
The campaign was created in Tulsa four years ago and 33 other states are now using it. There's a winner in two different age groups and each gets an i-Pod, But, that's not all.
"Their art work will become next year's coloring sheet. So that's always really exciting and very cool because it will get distributed to every school in Tulsa County," said Melanie Christian with the Tulsa Health Department.
Tulsa Public Schools uses the "Don't Bug Me" campaign to teach kids how to properly wash their hands, cover their mouths when they cough and other health tips.
