...TORNADO SURVEY INFORMATION...
A DAMAGE SURVEY PERSON FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN TULSA HAS CONFIRMED A TORNADO PATH IN OTTAWA COUNTY FROM THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM EVENT OF MARCH 31ST.
THE TORNADO WILL BE RATED AN EF-1 ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE.
PRELIMINARY DETAILS ON THIS STORM INDICATE A TORNADO TOUCHDOWN EAST OF WYANDOTTE AND CONTINUING EAST-NORTHEAST TO THE MISSOURI BORDER. THE TORNADO HAD A PATH WIDTH OF 150 YARDS.
THESE DETAILS ARE ONLY PRELIMINARY. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON WEDNESDAY...AFTER THE SURVEY TEAM HAS RETURNED FROM THE FIELD.
