Fatal Traffic Accident Closes Road

One person is killed in an early Tuesday morning traffic accident.  The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. about a mile and a half east of U.S. Highway 169 on 46th Street North. 

Authorities say a man in his mid 60's was headed west in his mini-van when he went left of the center line.  The mini-van collided with Borg Steel container truck headed eastbound. 

The impact killed the van driver.  The name of the driver has not been released. 

The truck driver was not hurt.
