Kern Addresses College Republicans

Extra security was on the University of Central Oklahoma campus in Edmond on Thursday night because of a controversial guest speaker.

"I think I'll go to the College Republicans because I think it'll be a little quieter and more laid back.  Well, not so, I guess," said Sally Kern.

A larger than expected crowd showed up to hear Representative Sally Kern speak to a Republican student organization. 

Kern says she is a household name because of her comments that compared the threat of the gay lifestyle to our society to the threat of terrorism.

Kern says she never wanted the worldwide attention for those remarks, but does not apologize for her beliefs.
