Some bogus trips may win an Oklahoma sheriff a one-way ticket to his own jail. Woodward County Sheriff Les Morton turned himself in on Thursday.
The state attorney general says Morton bilked county taxpayers by faking travel expense reports.
Investigators say for 15 months, the sheriff scammed the county, pocketing $10,000.
Morton has been sheriff for almost a decade.
