Overnight Crime Keeps Police Busy

A shooting, a robbery and a police pursuit keep police busy overnight.

An arrest is made in an overnight shooting in Tulsa that sends one person to the hospital. 

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cimarron Apartments at 31st and 132nd East Avenue.  Tulsa Police officers say an ex-boyfriend of the woman who lives in apartment, fired several rounds into the apartment. 

One round hit a man in the foot.  Police say the victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital and will be okay. 

The suspect, 36-year-old Louis Hernandez was arrested a few miles away and a gun was recovered.

A Tulsa woman is recovering after she was assaulted during an armed robbery overnight. 

Tulsa Police were called to the Sand Dollar Apartments in the 900 block of East 61st Street at around 11 p.m. Wednesday.  They found a woman who had been pistol whipped and her purse stolen.  Security guards told police the suspect pointed a pistol at them as he ran off. 

The suspect got away.

And a high speed chase ends with a man in jail overnight.  

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the suspect was speeding on his motorcycle so troopers tried to pull him over.   The suspect took off, but wrecked when he lost control of the motorcycle at an exit at 121st and state Highway 117.  The suspect was not hurt. 

OHP troopers believe the man had been drinking.
