Debris clean-up continues in the City of Broken Arrow. The city is starting its 3rd phase of debris removal. The work entails the cleanup of the area south of 71st between Aspen and 193rd East Ave. and all the way to the river.
Director of Communications for the City of Broken Arrow, Keith Sterling, says the city chose this location to be the last phase because it was the center point and had the most damage. The city also wanted to give citizens in the area enough time to put their debris out.
Crews expect this phase will last until the middle of April. The city has a burn site to which the debris will be taken at NSU/BA near the Creek Turnpike. There are still some city parks for citizens to drop off debris, but Sterling says those sites haven't had much traffic lately.
