Ellen Calls Representative Kern

An Oklahoma lawmaker draws the ire of a popular talk show host.

"It's Ellen DeGeneres, uh, the gay one and I, I just want to talk to you cuz I heard some things that you said and I'd just like to talk to you.  I think I could clear some things up," said Ellen DeGeneres in a phone message to Republican Representative Sally Kern.

DeGeneres placed the call Oklahoma Representative Sally Kern live on her television talk show on Wednesday.

In a You-Tube clip, Kern drew cheers and jeers for comparing homosexuals to terrorists.  DeGeneres called to chat with Kern about her comments.  She got the answering machine, which was full and couldn't accept her message.
