A brazen robber hits a Tulsa drug store, in the middle of the afternoon in a busy part of town. The News On 6's crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports it was all caught on tape.
The robber targeted the Drug Mart at 31st and 129th East Avenue on February 15th at four in the afternoon. He had a white scarf across his face and had the hood up on his blue windbreaker.
"Points semi-automatic weapon at the clerk, demands drugs, gets several bottles of prescription drugs and leaves the store," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.
He left in an early 80's, two-door Sedan, maybe a Cadillac or Ford LTD that was dark blue with a black vinyl top. Police say he showed no fear in his choice of time and place.
"What's interesting about this subject and the robbery, it did happen in the day time in a fairly busy area and he had a weapon, so we're just glad no one got injured," said Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley.
Even though the robber's face cannot be seen on the store's video tape, he's white, in his 30's, about five-feet-eight and 185 pounds. Police hope someone recognizes his clothing or his walk.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
