Manhunt For Suspect Underway

Authorities are looking for suspect wanted on federal firearms charges. 

U.S. marshals and Cherokee County Sheriff's deputies have been looking for Vance Moore since Wednesday.  Authorities say on Wednesday, officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant  when Moore pointed a gun at officers and fled. 

A search continues in the Peggs area along state Highway 82 in Cherokee County. 

Moore is described as 5-feet-9, 145 pounds with blue eyes.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Moore had served 5 years of a 10 year sentence for first degree rape out of Cherokee County.  He was released from prison in 2006.
