With the race for each party's presidential nomination becoming more focused, we wondered how the potential matchups would play out in Oklahoma. Our most recent Oklahoma Poll with the Tulsa World asked people how they might vote in the upcoming election.
In a race between John McCain and Hillary Clinton, McCain wins in Oklahoma 57% to 36%.
If the matchup was McCain and Barack Obama, Oklahomans say they would vote for McCain 58% to Obama's 30%.
John Edwards, who dropped out of the race, did the best in Oklahoma against McCain with 40%.
We surveyed 750 likely voters in late January. The margin of error is about three percent.
