Hunters May Soon Be Loaded For Bear

Could it soon could be open season on black bears?  A house committee is authorizing hunting licenses for the bears which roam the forests of Eastern Oklahoma.

The House Environment and Wildlife Subcommittee voted in favor of the measure on Monday and sent it on to the House Natural Resources Committee for a vote.

The Department of Wildlife Conservation is proposing a limited black bear season in which only about 20 of the animals would be taken each year.
