The flu has returned to Green Country. Some people are at higher risk for getting sick. Those are children between six months and five years, the elderly and anyone with chronic health conditions like asthma or diabetes.
"We seem to be following a very typical pattern for the flu here in Oklahoma and what we usually see is we start to see it peak in late January, early February and we can even see cases all the way through May if we have a long season," said Melanie Christian, Tulsa County Health Dept.
You can help prevent the spread of the flu by washing your hands and getting a flu shot. Shots are free at the Tulsa Health Department.
