An unusual ride might be the key to catching a Tulsa crook. As News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports, Tulsa Police think surely someone has seen the robber's car.
The robbery happened on December 28th at 8 a.m. at a Taco Bueno at 5032 South Sheridan Road.
"Manager inside the store, black male enters store with a sawed off shotgun. He has a blue stocking cap pulled over his face with the eyes cut out. Takes money from the safe and the cash register," said Tulsa Police officer Leland Ashley.
The man's get-away car was rather unusual, it was a dark blue Crown Victoria with clean wheels or hubcaps and had spotlights mounted on each side of the windshield, like an old police car.
"Car like that should stand out. Pretty sure if he's driving around with spotlights, someone has saw him, or knows him," said Tulsa Police officer Leland Ashley.
Standing out may be the very thing that gets him caught.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You don't have to give your name and if your tip leads to an arrest, the Citizens Crime Commission will pay you a cash reward.
