DTV Coupon Program

Today you can begin applying for DTV converter box coupons for your home. If you have a TV that currently receives analog signals over-the-air, you should be particularly interested in this program.

EVERY HOUSEHOLD IS ELIGIBLE and you may request up to two coupons, however, the program is limited 22 million on a first come, first serve basis. If you have cable or satellite it doesn't matter, you can still apply and receive a coupon for a free DTV converter box. There will be more coupons issued for those solely receiving over-the-air broadcasts. Consumers can apply for coupons until March 31, 2009, or until the funds are exhausted.

To apply for a DTV converter box coupon visit dtv2009.gov and fill out the request; the coupons will be mailed out in the next few months.
