MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) -- Two Oklahoma hunters are pleading guilty to illegal hunting charges in Muscatine County, Iowa. Wildlife officials in Iowa say Timothy Chad Nolan of Sallisaw was charged with illegally taking and having possession of an antlered deer and for hunting deer without a valid nonresident deer hunting license.
Brent Webb of Roland was charged with hunting deer without a valid nonresident deer hunting license.
Officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources say the two were hunting in Muscatine County Saturday when Webb tried to kill an antlered deer.
Then on Monday Nolan killed an antlered deer.
The men were stopped on Tuesday by Iowa conservation officers who seized an 8-point buck and more than $2,500 in bowhunting equipment.
Webb is being fined $182 while Nolan was fined $4,364.
