NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops isn't planning any special touchdown celebrations or any special incentives to motivate his team for its final road game of the season.
Just the prospect of clinching a spot in the Big 12 championship game should be enough.
Stoops told reports at his weekly luncheon yesterday that his team is bright and smart and shouldn't need a magical trick or phrase to get them going.
Road trips haven't been easy this season. The Sooners (9-1, 5-1) suffered their only loss this season at Colorado, and their other two games outside the state were among their three wins by 10 points or less. That includes a 17-to-7 victory at Iowa State on October 20th.
Stoops tried to warn them about the upset fever plaguing the nation's top teams, but their performance was flat.
The Sooners can clinch the Big 12 South title with a win in either of their last two games, and they're still in the national championship picture at fourth in the BCS standings.
