The president of Oral Roberts University has now received a vote of no confidence from the university's tenured faculty.

The resolution says the faculty approved the motion without regard to the outcome of the current lawsuit against Tulsa’s Oral Roberts University.

Professors plan to distribute the document to ORU’s Board of Regents.

Three former professors have filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Richard Roberts and the university, alleging their departures stem from their refusal to use staff and students to work on a Tulsa mayoral candidate's campaign.

They also accuse Richard Roberts of misspending funds to support a lavish lifestyle.

A spokesman for Oral Roberts University hasn't commented on Monday's vote.
