COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Most of this upset-filled season, the national championship picture has been wide open.
Now, no conference is in better position, at least from a numbers standpoint, than the Big 12.
No. 3 Oklahoma is the standard bearer at the moment. The Sooners figure to be tested by either of the conference's newcomers at the top, No. 4 Kansas and No. 6 Missouri, in the Big 12 championship game December 1st in San Antonio.
Oklahoma is 9-1 after freshman DeMarco Murray's four-touchdown showing in a 52-21 victory over Baylor Saturday. The Sooners stumbled in a loss to Colorado in their conference opener that dropped them from third to 10th, but have been steadily climbing since then with a game at Texas Tech and the regular-season finale at home against Oklahoma State ahead.
