ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A gunman and the man he allegedly shot to death at an Ardmore apartment have been identified by law enforcement officials as members of a white supremacist group.
Bradley Qualls died after he was shot multiple times, allegedly by 37-year-old Darrell Madden, inside an apartment in northeast Ardmore.
A short time later, Madden was shot by an Ardmore police officer as he fired shots at passing motorists at an Ardmore intersection in what police believe was an attempted carjacking.
Madden sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and underwent surgery at an Ardmore hospital. Lt. Eric Hamblin of the Ardmore Police Department says Madden was in custody pending charges.
Hamblin said the pair were known white supremacists known as Skinheads.
