GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay has increased its record to 8-and-1 with a 34-0 win over Minnesota. In leading the Packers to the win, Brett Favre joined Dan Marino as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to pass for over 60,000 yards.
Favre finished the game with 33 completions out of 46 attempts for 351 yards and three touchdowns.
Vikings' rookie running back Adrian Peterson, who set the NFL single-game record with 296 yards rushing last week, was knocked out of the game in the third quarter and did not return. The former Oklahoma Sooner injured his right knee.
The loss leaves the Vikings with a record of 3-and-6.
