KANSAS CITY (AP) -- Denver has beaten Kansas City and in doing so shaken up the AFC West standings.
The Broncos 27-11 win over the Chiefs gives each team a record of 4-and-5 while San Diego is 4-and-4 entering Sunday night's game with Indianapolis.
Reserve running back Selvin Young of the Broncos rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown while Jay Cutler passed for a score and 192 yards. The Broncos made their move with two touchdowns in a 9-second span of the third quarter.
In the losing effort, second-year signal caller Brodie Croyle took over for the turnover-prone Damon Huard.
