Preparations are underway for a big dig on Saturday at Tulsa’s Veteran’s Park. The next time capsule will be buried on the west side of downtown. The capsule was delivered on Friday and will be filled with donated items, including a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The News On 6 has donated letters from CBS newsmen Walter Cronkite and Bob Schieffer and DVD copies of newscasts.
"I think the memories that people have being there and involved and also the memories that they put in especially for families are very precious,†said Paula Hale, Tulsa coordinator of the Oklahoma Centennial.
Oklahoma's veterans will also be honored. Several military medals and ribbons from veterans are being sealed in the capsule.
The Oklahoma Time Capsule Ceremony will begin at noon on Saturday at Veteran’s Park. It’s located at 1875 S. Boulder Avenue.
