NatureWorks unveiled its latest animal to roam the Arkansas River bank. The "Red Slough Alligator" now sits outside the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. The sculpture was donated by Joe and Carol McGraw of Tulsa.
"This is kind of a unique deal, this is sponsored by an individual and typically all of them are sponsored by patrons who have an interest in pursuing art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and making it a better place,†said John Reaves of NatureWorks, Inc.
The alligator is the 17th NatureWorks sculpture to be displayed in Tulsa. The first was the “Plains Grizzly Bear†that sits outside the Gilcrease Museum.
