NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners could use this week's game against Baylor as a dress rehearsal for next week's game against Texas Tech.

Baylor runs a spread offense based on the Tech offense and that gives the OU defense two weeks to practice against schemes that are similar.

But Sooner defensive coordinator Brent Venables warns there's another way to view the games.

Venables says Tech will have an opportunity to see OU's defensive game plan and schemes and prepare for them.
