PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia police have identified a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with the shooting death of an officer who walked in on a doughnut shop robbery last week.
Police say the suspect is 21-year-old John Lewis. They say he's armed with at least two guns and should be considered extremely dangerous.
Officer Chuck Cassidy died Thursday, a day after being shot in the head. Cassidy had interrupted an armed robbery at a Dunkin' Donuts.
Witnesses have said the gunman entered the shop and demanded money just before the policeman opened the door. The man then spun around and shot Cassidy before the officer could react.
A funeral service will be held for Cassidy later this week.
